ELSAN Hammadde Sanayii A.Ş.
Our sustainable production principles to pass down a clean and healthy environment to future generations.
Our Approach
Our enterprise is committed to environmental values in compliance with the ISO 14001 standard. We control our environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle with a "cradle-to-grave" approach, setting goals and targets aimed at reducing resource consumption.
Approximately 80% of our products are manufactured using recycled raw materials. We expect the same environmental sensitivity from our suppliers and business partners
To Our Suppliers & Contractors
The environmental responsibility requirements we expect from our suppliers and contracting firms that operate at the beginning of our product's lifecycle
The procurement and use of eco-friendly, innovative materials and components that consume fewer resources.
Minimizing any adverse conditions that could threaten human health and environmental cleanliness across all operational processes.
Reducing environmental impacts across all operational and support processes, including logistics, from raw material procurement to product delivery/utilization.
Monitoring the environmental impacts of your activities, products, and services, and ensuring full compliance with applicable legislative provisions.
Submitting environmental compliance information, documents, declarations, or reports, such as RoHS and REACH, for the delivered materials.
Guaranteeing that the inputs used do not contain substances harmful to human and environmental health that are prohibited by national and international laws, and establishing the necessary recording systems.
To Our Customers
Approximately 80% of our products are manufactured using recycled raw materials. Since our customers also act as our suppliers, we would like to share the following matters:
Corporate Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint reporting and verifications are carried out regularly every year.
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and Product Carbon Footprint calculations are regularly conducted for our products.
Our products comply with EN norms and the 4MS Hygienic List, and do not contain restricted substances under the RoHS and REACH Directives.
Brass turnings contaminated with oil from the machining process are classified as "hazardous waste" when they contain more than 1% oil. Transporting them with licensed vehicles and recovering them at licensed facilities is mandatory.
Brass flash generated after the forging process is classified as "non-hazardous waste" provided that it is free of hazardous substance contamination. Recovery at licensed facilities is required.
Our facility holds recovery licenses for both hazardous (oily brass turnings) and non-hazardous (brass/copper turnings, flash, scrap) waste. You can access these on our Environmental Permit & License page.
Our industrial wastes, such as brass ash and flue gas dust originating from our casting process, along with hazardous and non-hazardous wastes resulting from routine operational activities, are dispatched at regular intervals for recovery or disposal under contracts signed with licensed companies.
