Emission & Waste Management Licenses
ELSAN A.Ş. regards environmental protection as a fundamental principle of its operations. The filtration plant first established in the Continuous Casting Department in 1992, expanded in 2000, and renewed in 2025, effectively controls hazardous emissions.
Hazardous waste generated during our operations is recovered as a raw material for other industrial sectors, while waste heat generated during the process is recovered to improve energy efficiency.
ELSAN A.Ş. has held an Emission Permit and a First-Class Non-Sanitary Establishment License since 2000. In 2008, it obtained its first Hazardous Waste Recovery License for the recovery of oil-contaminated brass and copper turnings.
Since 2012, the company has held the Environmental Permit and License Certificate issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, covering emissions, hazardous waste recovery, and non-hazardous waste recovery.
