Emission and Waste Management Licenses
ELSAN A.Ş. has adopted the principle of protecting the environment during its operations. Thanks to the filtration plant, which was initially established in the Continuous Casting department in 1992, expanded in capacity in 2000, and renewed in 2025, hazardous emissions are effectively prevented.
At this stage, the hazardous wastes generated are recovered to create a raw material source for another industrial sector, while the resulting waste heat is reused to ensure energy savings.
ELSAN A.Ş. has held an Emission Permit and a 1st Class Non-Sanitary Enterprise License since 2000. It obtained its first Hazardous Waste Recovery License in 2008 for the recovery of oil-contaminated brass/copper chips.
Since 2012, the company has held the Environmental Permit and License Certificate issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change covering Emission, Hazardous Waste Recovery, and Non-Hazardous Waste Recovery.
