Our Company

A member of the Elginkan Group, ELSAN HAMMADDE SANAYİİ A.Ş. was established in 1969 as a brass sand-casting foundry in Kartal, Maltepe, Istanbul. The company commenced brass rod production in 1971 and expanded its manufacturing capabilities in 1976 with the commissioning of its Continuous Casting Line. Over the years, ELSAN has continuously invested in and modernized its production infrastructure, including its melting and holding furnaces, billet casting lines, direct extrusion presses, and rod drawing and straightening lines. In 1990, the company further strengthened its manufacturing operations by commissioning its new production facility in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone.

As part of its ongoing investment and growth strategy, ELSAN commissioned a second computer-controlled casting line in 1995, further expanding its continuous casting capacity. In 2000, the company began producing brass ingots for low-pressure die-casting systems. In 2023, a third Continuous Casting Line was commissioned, further enhancing the company's capacity for continuously cast ingots.

Investments in integrated rod drawing and straightening lines, together with the commissioning of indirect extrusion presses in 2011 and 2013, significantly expanded ELSAN’s production capacity for brass rods and profiles.

Today, ELSAN A.Ş. operates two Continuous Casting Lines, a continuous casting line for brass ingots used in low-pressure die-casting systems, a 1,640-ton direct extrusion press, a 1,800-ton indirect extrusion press, and advanced rod drawing and straightening lines. The company has an annual production capacity of 22,000 tonnes of brass rods and profiles and 4,000 tonnes of continuously cast ingots.

ELSAN A.Ş. has been certified to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard since 1997 and is also certified to ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, ISO 50001 for Energy Management, and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, its testing laboratory holds ISO/IEC 17025 competence certification. Holding an authorised licence for the recovery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ELSAN manufactures its raw materials in full compliance with applicable national and international standards and directives. The consistently high quality of ELSAN’s raw materials also supports the strong reputation for quality associated with E.C.A.-branded brass products in international markets.

Approximately 35% of ELSAN’s production is exported to international markets through Eleks A.Ş., another company within the Elginkan Group. ELSAN’s products reach customers across a wide range of markets, including the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan, and Israel.
