Our Company

Operating under the umbrella of the Elginkan Community, ELSAN HAMMADDE SANAYİİ A.Ş. was established in 1969 as a brass sand casting foundry in Kartal, Maltepe, Istanbul. ELSAN A.Ş. commenced the production of brass rods in 1971 and expanded its capacity with the Continuous Casting Line established in 1976. By intensifying its automation efforts across melting and holding furnaces, billet casting lines, direct extrusion presses, as well as rod drawing and straightening lines, the company commissioned its new facility in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in 1990.

Continuing its growth-oriented investments, ELSAN A.Ş. commissioned a second computer-controlled casting line in 1995 to increase the capacity of its continuous casting line. In 2000, the company began manufacturing brass ingots for low-pressure die-casting systems. Furthermore, continuous casting ingot production is carried out at the 3rd Continuous Casting Line, which was established in 2023.

Rod and profile production capacity was significantly expanded thanks to investments in combined rod drawing and straightening lines, along with an indirect extrusion press implemented in 2011 and 2013.

Today, equipped with two Continuous Casting Lines, a Brass Ingot Continuous Casting Line for Low-Pressure Die-Casting Systems, a 1,640-ton Direct Extrusion Press, an 1,800-ton Indirect Extrusion Press, and Modern Rod Drawing and Straightening Lines, the company possesses an annual production capacity of 22,000 tons of brass rods and profiles, alongside 4,000 tons of continuous casting ingots.

Holding the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate since 1997, ELSAN A.Ş. is also certified in ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 50001 Energy, and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, as well as holding the ISO 17025 Testing Laboratory Competence Certificate. Authorized with a Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Recycling License, ELSAN A.Ş. manufactures raw materials in strict compliance with national and international standards and directives. Today, the premium quality of ELSAN raw materials plays a pivotal role in the worldwide acclaim and quality of E.C.A. branded brass-based products.

Approximately 35% of its production is exported through Eleks A.Ş.—a group company—to numerous countries, primarily including the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan, and Israel.
