Quality & Laboratory
At ELSAN A.Ş., quality is a priority at every stage of production, and all processes are carried out in accordance with applicable national and international standards. All tests required by applicable standards or requested by customers are performed with precision, and the relevant Quality Certificate is provided with the products.
The ELSAN Metallurgy Laboratory holds the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Competence Certificate for Testing Services issued by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). Metallic material testing is therefore performed by competent and independent personnel in accordance with applicable international standards and reported in line with relevant proficiency requirements.
The tests performed in our laboratory include:
Chemical Analysis
- Analysis of copper, zinc, lead, brass, and bronze using optical emission spectrometers
- Determination of copper and lead content by wet-chemical analysis
Mechanical Testing
- Tensile testing
- Rockwell and Brinell hardness testing
Microstructural Examination
- Grain-size measurement using a metallurgical microscope
- Grain distribution and phase analysis using image-analysis software

- Dezincification resistance testing
- Ammonia stress-cracking and stress-corrosion resistance testing
