ELSAN HAMMADDE SANAYII A.S.
As a company of ELGİNKAN GROUP, ELSAN HAMMADDE SANAYİİ A.Ş. was found in 1969 at Kartal Maltepe, İstanbul as a foundry working in brass sand casting. ELSAN started brass rod production in 1971. The company increased its capacity with the newly established Continuous Casting Line in 1976. Focusing on automation efforts regarding melting and holding furnaces, continuous casting line, direct extrusion press, rod drawing and straightening line, the company has commissioned its Manisa Industrial Zone facility in 1990.
Continuing its investments towards development, ELSAN commissioned a second fully computer-controlled casting line in 1995 to increase capacity of the continuous casting line, thus raising its brass billet production capacity to 25,000 tons per year. In 2000 the company has started production of brass ingots for low pressure die casting systems, and in the 3rd Continuous Casting Line established in 2023, 4,000 tons of continuous casting ingots are produced annually.
With the combined rod drawing and straightening line and indirect extrusion press investments made in 2011 and 2013 the rod and profile production capacity has reached 22,000 tons per year.
Today, the company has an annual production capacity of 22,000 tons of brass rods and profiles and 4,000 tons of brass ingots with three continuous casting lines and, 1,640 tons of direct and 1,800 tons of indirect extrusion press and modern rod drawing and straightening machines.
ELSAN, which received ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate in 1997 and ISO 9001: 2000 Quality System Certificate in 2003. ELSAN produces raw materials in accordance with national and international standards and directives and continues its works regarding constant improvement of quality in production. Today, superior quality raw material of ELSAN has a significant role in world-wide quality of E.C.A. branded brass products. Also, the company has ISO 14001 Environment, ISO 50001 Energy, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificates and ISO 17025 Test Laboratory Approval Certificate and Recycling License for Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste.
35% of production is exported to many countries through Eleks A.Ş. some of them are USA, Canada, Spain, İtaly, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, İsrael.
